eSOL and ETAS K.K. sign distributor agreement for ETAS AUTOSAR products

Meet the diverse needs of mobility development in the SDV era by combining with
eSOL’s full stack engineering service

Tokyo, Japan, 9 January 2026 – eSOL, a leading developer of real-time embedded software solutions for the automotive and mobility industry, and ETAS K.K. have signed a distributor agreement for AUTOSAR products in the Japanese market.

Under this agreement, eSOL will commence sales of ETAS’s AUTOSAR products in Japan starting January 2026 and will establish a support desk. Additionally, engineering services based on these products will be offered from April 2026.

Through this agreement, both companies will respond to the diverse needs of customers engaged in advanced mobility development by cooperating in the sales of AUTOSAR products, a global standard specification for in-vehicle software.

In the era of software-defined vehicles (SDVs), software development is becoming increasingly advanced and diversified, necessitating custom platform development that appropriately combines products with engineering services to meet customer needs. ETAS has for many years developed and provided a range of in-vehicle software platform products and tools, including AUTOSAR products. eSOL has also long offered AUBIST, an AUTOSAR product jointly developed with Denso Corporation. By expanding its AUTOSAR product lineup to include ETAS products, eSOL will now be able to meet a wider range of demands. Furthermore, eSOL will combine these products and tools with its full-stack engineering services, leveraging the technical expertise and extensive knowledge cultivated through AUTOSAR and in-vehicle system development, to provide comprehensive support for customers in realizing optimal custom platforms for their in-vehicle system development. ETAS products involved in this process include AUTOSAR solutions, middleware solutions for SoCs, and on-board security solutions.

AUTOSAR is an international partnership established in 2003, primarily by European manufacturers, with the goal of standardizing and harmonizing in-vehicle software within the automotive industry. Today, it has evolved into a global standardization activity involving major automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and tool vendors worldwide. It has become almost a de facto standard for new vehicle development in Europe, and its adoption is expanding in Japan and China. As the era of SDVs arrives, AUTOSAR is gaining increasing attention as the de facto standard for advanced in-vehicle software.

Both ETAS and eSOL are industry-leading AUTOSAR vendors, having long contributed significantly to AUTOSAR standardization and specification development as premium partners.

Furthermore, eSOL is a world-class engineering company with a proven track record in developing mission-critical embedded software, including in-vehicle software. Based on the technological capabilities and expertise cultivated through this development, eSOL offers full-stack engineering services.

By combining the deep AUTOSAR expertise of both companies, the two companies will meet the diverse needs of mobility development in the SDV era.

Comment from Masaki Gondo, CEO, CTO, and President and Representative Director of eSOL:
“It is deeply moving and a great honor to collaborate with ETAS, with whom we have both contributed to AUTOSAR for many years, in the AUTOSAR business. Our strength lies in our ability to deliver full stack engineering services to our customers, encompassing technology and expertise across all layers of software development, from OS to applications. We will continue to promote AUBIST as an AUTOSAR product, but being able to provide ETAS brand products to meet the diverse requirements and needs of our customers is very encouraging for us, and we are confident that this will ultimately contribute to the development capabilities and competitiveness of our customers’ product.”

Comment from Mr. Bungo Mizumoto, President of ETAS K.K.:
“We are truly delighted to partner with eSOL, a company that possesses extensive business, expertise, and human resources in AUTOSAR. We aim to provide outstanding solutions together with eSOL, combining our advanced security technology with AUTOSAR-compliant basic software, not only for traditional microcontrollers but also for middleware tailored for SoCs. In this rapidly evolving SDV era, we are committed to ensuring that our collaboration with eSOL delivers significant value to our customers and the automotive industry by addressing complex challenges, dramatically improving development efficiency, and achieving robust cybersecurity.”
