USB host stack class driver
Overview
Various class drivers are available for PrUSB/Host and PrUSB/OTG. Class drivers can add specific USB equipment to a system.
Other class drivers not listed below will be supported in the near future. Also, eSOL can develop a new class driver or customize an existing one upon your request.
Class drivers
HID class driver
This class driver interoperates with HID (Human Interface Device) class peripherals. HID class peripherals include keyboards, mice, joysticks, and tablets. Supporting the HID class enables a connection to these devices.
This class is included with PrUSB/Host and PrUSB/OTG.
The Mass Storage Class driver is an optional product for PrUSB/Host and PrUSB/OTG. The Mass Storage Class driver enables the host to utilize storage devices such as external drives and digital cameras supporting the Mass Storage Class.
The Mass Storage Class driver has the following characteristics:
- Supports the bulk-only transfer protocol
- Supports the subclasses below:
- SCSI transparent command set
- SFF-8020i
- SFF-8070i
- MMC-2(ATAPI)
- Supports multiple LUNs
- A file system is required to operate the Mass Storage Class (PrFILE2 is recommended).
The Communication Device Class (CDC) driver is an optional product for PrUSB/Host and PrUSB/OTG. It supports the "Abstract Control Model (ACM)."
